For Your Information

We don’t do math problems during meetings.

We don’t do work in the board during meetings.

You don’t have to be great in math to join the club. As long as you have interest in it and would like the experience to work with other people.

The “math” part comes in handy during Math Week, a week of daily math-related activities for other GW students to participate in.

We have the same goal as any other club, RAISE MONEY.

Most of the money goes to the Senior Trip (only for graduating seniors). Seniors will decide where they will go (off-island or on-island).

However, an equally big amount of money will go to the Annual End-of-the-Year Banquet. Of course some money will go towards other events, activities, fundraisers, etc.

Any left-over money of the School Year will be left in the account for the next School Year Members.

Math Club's Awesome!!

END-of-the-YEAR BANQUET

What happens during the Banquet?

Every year, we have been trying to have an End-of-the-Year Banquet. We had a vision of probably a small location in a hotel where we, the officers, and the rest of the membership will have a farewell luncheon; eat food and then say our good byes. Unfortunately, as lower classmen we never really prioritized this "vision."

However, now that we are seniors, this is at the top of our list. This, along with the senior trip, is our main goal. We've even stepped it up! Rather than it being a small farewell luncheon, we have decided to make it into a fairly lavish dinner occasion.

It will be a very important semi-formal event. We will hand out certificates for good performances, acknowledgements, superlatives, and hopefully more. We will also pass out the prizes for the members with the most points, according to our point system (Constitution Article III). Members will have to be present to receive their prize. If not, the next member with the highest points, in that category, will get the prize. We are also aiming to have some good entertainment.

[Members, if you have any suggestions or know anyway you can help make this Banquet a success, please approach any of your officers.]

We want to be able to leave the lower classmen members a nice remembrance of this year and hopefully inspire them to, unlike like previous years, not slack off and to take Math Club seriously.

Since this is the first year we will hopefully, finally accomplish this, not a lot of issues our settled just yet. So, come back ever so often to see  if there are any developments with this project with location and such.

COME ON, MEMBERS!! We can do dis!!! We da bomb!!!

[more info will be posted soon]
